Serial Killer: Richard Ramirez

Richard Ramirez (full name Ricardo Leyva Muñoz Ramírez) was an American serial killer. He was also a rapist and a burglar. He is widely known as the Night Stalker. His span of killings started on April 10, 1984 and ended on August 24, 1985.

 Richard Ramirez was apprehended on August 31, 1985. On September 20, 1989, he was convicted of 13 counts of murder, 5 counts of attempted murder, 11 counts of sexual assault and 14 counts of burglary and on November 7, 1989 he was sentenced to die by gas chamber.

Ramirez died on June 17, 2013. Reason of death is complications secondary to B-cell lymphoma but had also been suffering from the effects of chronic substance abuse and chronic hepatitis C viral infection. He was 53 years old.
